The Halo Came With a History — 1,014 Piece Puzzle

There is a reason I chose to put this design on a 1,014-piece puzzle.

Honestly, if they'd have let me add more pieces, I would've.

Because if there's one thing I'm learning right now, it's that life is one big fucking puzzle.

You can think you have every piece exactly where it belongs. The plan. The family. The future. You can see the whole picture perfectly in your head.

And then life comes along and flips the damn table.

That's where I'm at.

This image represents the pieces of my life I'm finally willing to completely expose. The mistakes I've made. The sh*t I've survived. The things I'm not proud of. The things that hurt me. The things I allowed. The pieces I held onto way longer than I should have.

They're all pieces of me.

But they don't get to be the whole damn picture.

The woman walking away represents where I am now.

I'm not running from my past. I'm not hiding it. I'm not pretending it didn't happen.

Hell, I'm doing the opposite.

I'm looking that sh*t dead in the face, owning the pieces that belong to me, and walking forward anyway.

The hands reaching from behind represent everything that would love to pull me backward.

But the shield around her is there for a reason.

God's got me.

And the halo?

Well...

The halo came with a history.

She's walking toward the light, but she can't see every piece waiting for her down that road.

Neither can I.

Some pieces I'm leaving behind. Some will always be part of me. Some haven't even made it onto the table yet.

And maybe some of the pieces I once wished I could throw away will become the exact pieces that help somebody else realize

their story isn't over either.

So yes, there are 1,014 pieces in this thing.

You're probably going to get frustrated.

You're probably going to swear a piece is missing.

You'll probably put something where you're positive it belongs... only to find out later that you were completely fu*king wrong.

Sounds a lot like life to me..

I'm still putting my pieces together.

Maybe you are too.
